If you’ve always wanted to learn, here’s your chance knit like the wind!
This is a new class format I want to try out. If it goes well, it will be an ongoing free class that will (hopefully) get more folks knitting like the maniacs I know you can be!
The class will be offered through the Ning network, where I teach my other online classes. It’s free to register for Ning, you can do that right before class starts if you’re not already a ning member.
CLASS INFO
Here’s the nitty gritty:
Class Starts THIS SUNDAY, Feb 14th
Class Ends NEXT SUNDAY, Feb 21th
(Yes I said 28th earlier – evidently I can’t count – sorry!)
Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know it’s short notice. But you’ll have 7 beautiful days with the materials!
I’ve been asked, “How basic IS this class?” To answer that, I’m offering the first PDF handout and the accompanying video here for you to watch. You’ll get a good sense from that on how basic the class is. I think it’s pretty darned basic…
There are 5 videos total, this one is an overview, and then each subsequent video deals with the techniques discussed in this overview.
All the materials (videos and pdf files) will be in the online classroom, you’ll have 24 hour access during the week of class. I will participate in a live text chat on Thursday at 8pm US Central time, and I may hang around the discussion forums sometimes.
Click on the button below, when 20 folks are in, the class is full and closed!
Okay – GO!

Hi Annie!
I am definitely interested in this! I am wondering though, how basic is it? I know the knit stitch and the pearl stitch, but that's it. I have made scarves in the past, but that's about it. Are you covering more than this in the class? I assume so, but I don't want to take someone's place if it can be better used for someone else.
Thanks so much! This looks like a lot of fun!

Hi, I just posted this on my facebook page. Annie, on another subject. I don't know what you are paying for medications but friend of mine just ordered his on CheapODrugs out of Canada and got a six month supply of high blood pressure meds for the cost of one month here. He's received them and it works if you should need it.
Keep feeling better. Bonny

I'm confused–seven days from the 14th would be the 21st, not the 28th.

I'm signed up and really excited to take the class. I really hope to become a faster knitter.

I don't have anything important to post – just that I really hope that you are feeling better! Those of us who just read & lurk probably do so mostly because we're knitters & are interested in you as a knitting "guru" – but, I for one really become drawn in by your very human story & learn to care about you and your family. Your's is a very unique saga. You have my family's concern (prayers), good vibes & best karma. Stay well – all of the LANDY'S………………
Marietta – the other one.

Rats – I just read this today. (insert big pouty face). Oh well, the way work has been going, I'd most likely miss half the lessons anyway. Better that someone could get them all.
I do have a question though about once your on-line classes are done. The PDFs – we can save, but what about access to any videos? Can we go back and review them at any time? I know some on-line videos can be saved to your computer, but not others. Also, what happens if we miss a class? For example, if there were still openings on the free class and I signed up, would I be able to go back and access the first 3 days video and PDFs?
thanks!

What I REALLY need is a learn to crochet class. I need this badly. I need it for trims for knitting and for making amigurumi animals. I can barely do a single crochet and can't follow a crochet pattern. I can knit!
