So I held a pity party for myself yesterday and drowned my sorrows in a piece (O N E small piece) of poppy seed lemon cake at Caribou Coffee, and I’ve been suffering with a serious flare up ever since.

Fear Not…
But thank you for the emails and comments asking if a password is now required – it’s not! I’ve been blogging more slowly and infrequently than in the past because I have a lot of projects I’m working on (design projects, book projects) and that’s kept me busy.
Queen Midas
The knitting I love. The explaining what and how I’m doing in such a way that other folks can recreate what I’ve done, that’s so hard that my head hurts and sometimes I hate it.
So my task right now is to find a way to LOVE the hard parts, the parts that don’t come naturally, the parts that take a little time.
Silence is Golden!
Complex and difficult are two different things. Complex can be broken down into a set of simple actions, and that’s exactly what this technique is. I won’t say it’s easy, but I will say that even a very new knitter can get it by following the simple steps.

Making The Move
I’m making the move over to my new classrooms, the ones I’ve been setting up, and I’m filled with so much excitement and – well – a bit of fear, too! I’ve been on a self-guided full-out Word Press & Plug Ins “course”, and it’s been very exciting! Two of my classrooms are all set…
Waxing & Waning
But, as with many self taught knitters I meet, I just have this nagging fear that I’m not doing it RIGHT. And, as in knitting, maybe there isn’t one RIGHT way to figure widgets and categories and minimal php coding. I mean, if the code works and if it’s not cluttered, maybe that’s the goal – reachable by many different routes?
Something Old, Something New…
So – as much for myself as for my two engaged friends – I wanted to share some of their joy and be a part of their days. So I offered, and they accepted, and they made me the happiest amateur dressmaker in the world!
