No matter how much work I have, there is always a small corner of joy when I’m knitting. The rhythm, the fiber, the repetition calm me, and if I’m able to divorce my nervous mind from the looming deadline, I can enjoy it thoroughly.
I Like To Ride My Bicycle
If you see me riding around St. Paul, wave! I’ll be the one grinning on my bike!
Barreling Through
Design is another word for organizing visual inspiration. Organizing the work is what makes life beautiful in the middle of the nutty chaos.
Hit Me With Your Best Shot!
My only regret? I didn’t ride my bike here. If I get a lot of work done this morning I may head home and get out for a ride, or I may just dedicate today to WORKING HARDER. (I may even have a shot of espresso…)
Busy is Good, Right?
Run, run, run, [screeech! Thump!] Run, run, run, [screeech! THUMP!]
2×4 Masquerading as a Weekend
I just felt insanely tired. I know this feeling – a special weak-in-the-bones kind of tiredness, so I crossed my fingers that it wasn’t what I thought.
Just Keep Peddling
“You may be overwhelmed by how much you have on your plate and you need to focus on being as efficient as possible.”
Hunker Not
My designs are like brides who’ve been arranged in marriage,
I only hope the grooms (yarn choices) will live up to their expectations.
Glory Hallelujah!
Aside from a brief scene in Crossing Delancy, I’d never seen a woman plucking on screen (where I learn all my life lessons) so I was unprepared for my transition into Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
DONE IS BEAUTIFUL!
My only regret? I won’t be able to be at the wedding. I’m shattered by this, but I had agreed to teach at Shepherd’s Harvest on the same day over a year ago, so I can’t back out now! (And, I adore Shepherd’s Harvest – maybe not as much as Amanda, but it’s pretty close!)
